June Smit has recently been appointed as Sales Representative for NPC Aggregate and NPC Concrete in the South Coast region.   Ms. Smit, who has spent most her life on the South Coast, has an extensive background at Margate Quarry, having been first employed there in 2001 in a telesales role and eventually was promoted to the post of personal assistant to NPC Aggregate and Concrete Managing Director Avi Bhoora. 
 
Mr. Bhoora believes that Ms. Smit will make a positive contribution in her new role, “I am confident that Ms Smit will make a huge contribution to our service quality because she is diligent and passionate about customer care.  I believe that her appointment has been welcomed by NPC staff which means that customers can expect great service from a synchronized team effort.”
 
For her part, Ms Smit feels that, considering her background at Margate Quarry and NPC, she will ‘hit the ground running’:  “It helps already knowing many of NPC’s loyal customers on the South Coast.  I’m also encouraged about future business prospects, knowing that NPC Aggregate and Concrete have first-rate construction products.   I will be working and co-ordinating with the company’s experienced and dedicated staff to meet the needs of our much appreciated clientele.”
 
NPC’s Margate Quarry operations have in recent years repeatedly scored very high on safety, environment and product quality audits from both ASPASA (the Aggregate and Sand Producers Association of South Africa) and SARMA (Southern African Readymix Association).  Most recently, Margate’s NPC Concrete plant was awarded a prestigious Platinum score from SARMA, which was an improvement over the previous year’s significant accomplishment – a Gold score.
